Please join us for a screening of Peace Corps 50th Anniversary Video Project, a short film by Maureen Orth featuring inspiring Peace Corps Volunteer stories past and present. Following the film, there will be a discussion about how the “soft power” of the Peace Corps changed the lives of the panelists and what role the panelists see Peace Corps playing in promoting “soft power” -- American idealism and goodwill in the international community – for the next 50 years.

Over the past 50 years, through war and conflict, more than 200,000 Peace Corps Volunteers have shown the world a hopeful, uplifting side of America that reflects our fundamental ideals of service, tolerance, and grassroots development. In an increasingly global community, the Peace Corps can play a powerful role in strengthening America’s image abroad. I hope you can join us for this inspiring event to celebrate 50 years of Americans serving their country in the name of peace.
