The RPCVs of Madison will partner with the UW-Madison Peace Corps Campus Recruiter and the UW African Studies program to put on a full-featured Global House Party at the Overture Center, as part of Madison's 30th annual International Festival. This event is free and open to the public. Features of our participation include:
- We are partnering with the Fair Trade Coffeehouse, who will offer coffee and beverages; samples of Peace and Harmony tea will be offered.
- Three folk music groups will perform for 30 minutes during the 11a-5p event.
- Our group will have an information table for Peace Corps and the UW African Studies Peace Corps and Africa conference. There will be a sales table, offering our international calendars, 'we all' posters, Peace and Harmony retail teas, and much more. There will be four short presentations by RPCVs from countries on four continents. Opportunities to engage in casual or focused conversation abound!
