March 26 – “ Make a Pysanky-Ukrainian Easter Egg,“ 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Learn how to use dye and wax to create your own Pysanky--Ukrainian Easter egg! Pysanky are known for their complicated designs and use of many colors to create what is the basis for Fabrege eggs. Connie Collins, a Peace Corps volunteer who served in the Ukraine 2003-2005, will demonstrate traditional techniques for designing and dying Easter eggs: baskets of which were taken to church to be blessed on Orthodox Easter.
